Zur Abgrenzung endogener geochemischer Anomalien. (About the boundary of endogenous geochemical anomalies)

Description :
An anomaly may be a limited area with concentrations which differ distinctly in the sense of the investigation from the background value at the locality in each case. This conception permits the mathematical determination of the background as a function, e.g. as a trend surface function, it permits the representation of the variation of the background with the aid of maps as well as the numerical determination of anomalous areas and its representation. In this way good results are obtained in the analyses of geochemical anomalies of such chemical components as barium, fluorine or mercury in a sedimentary rock complex with an alcaline extrusive rock body.
