A 3-way table crossing 63 products, 7 regions, and 18 years is analysed. The study reveals firstly the sensitivity of the different products to climatic constraints, and secondly the rapid evolution of the human and technical factors. At the same time the enrichment of the oil producing countries of the Middle East has not been forgotten, since these have opened up very prosperous markets for Syrian agriculture.
