Erfassung von Okosystemparametern zur Vorhersage der Verteilung von neuen Chemikalien in der Umwelt.. (Assessment of ecosystem parameters for predicting the distribution of new environmental chemicals)

Auteur :
FRANZLE, O.

Description :
The potential ecotoxicity of chemicals must be based on the determination of their persistence and distribution characteristics on the one hand, the mode of immission and the structure of the ecosystems affected on the other. Therefore the present report defines the fluxes of potentially toxic substances in the main environmental compartments (lower) atmosphere, soil-vegetation complex, and water by means of specific transformation operators or regulatory mechanisms, respectively. The results of the comprehensive analysis are summarized in three synthetic ecosystem models formulated in graph form. The explanatory text first describes the input and state variables of the atmospheric system (I) and its linkage with the adjacent systems II and III. The second part deals with the specific sorption and desorption processes in soils as controlled by moisture and microbial activity, the third describes flux phenomena as related to interactions and cascading of matter and energy between essential components of an aquatic ecosystem.
