Traces d'activité périglaciaire dans les Vosges moyennes

Auteurs :

Description :
In the middle region of the French Vosges, a compact formation is commonly observed preferentially on south facing slopes. It is a till, usually called the crassin which frequently shows a well developed platy structure. From the Authors'observations the structure, and in part the compaction, result from the growth of segregated ice lenses. It was formed probably under a melting ice sheet or in a periglacial environment.
