Losses of reserves are in a way dependent on the technological and organizational utilization of a deposit. By tests on models it was found out, that an exact economic evaluation of the losses of reserves calls for a comprehensive and long-term study, because (1) an isolated and direct investigation leads to imperfect results only and (2) a short-term investigation can lead to high losses of reserves and even to positive effects. Therefore it is necessary to study questions of mining and processing related to problems of losses only in connexion with the overall utilization conception. A strongly simplified evaluation model is suggested and discussed.
