Fluvioglacial landforms and ice margin characteristics. An example from the Torneträsk area in northern Sweden

The aim of this paper is to illustrate a series of events which occured during the last phases of the deglaciation in an area close to Lake Torneträsk in NW Sweden. Case studies were made within four study sites, each with a different morphology, sediment structure and setting in relation to the retreating ice margin. A reconstruction of the ice front characteristics was made from studies of the morphology and sediment structures of fluvioglacial deposits.
