Het voorkomen van schrijvertjes (Coleoptera: Gyrinidae) in Oost-en West-Vlaanderen (België). (The occurence of whirligig-beetles (Coleoptera: Gyrinidae, in East and West Flanders))

Description :
Throughout 1977 to 1980 the distribution of Gyrinidae was investigated in East and West-Flanders (Belgium). A total of five species of the genus Gyrinus were recorded. All of these may be considered rare in the study area. Two species, Aulonogyrinus concinnus and Gyrinus aeratus, although mentioned in earlier records, were not represented in our samples.
