Considers the basic features of the Egyptian foreign tourist industry structure of flows, infrastructure, balance of payments, future trends, etc. The tourism share of the total currency income is 13,2 % for 1977. In 1978, Arab and European and American segments in arrivals were quite similar. According to plans up to year 2000, the principal development will occure in maritime recreation (along Mediterranean). Rather surprisingly, historic and cultural monuments are expected to be less significant.
