The author makes an attempt to answer the question whether or not cartometric criteria make it possible to single out reliefs of different ages in the area of the Kolno Upland. The morphometric criterion consisted in calculating the number of hills and basins without outflows, per sq. km. The morphographic criterion consists in an analysis of the system of morphological forms and the spatial situation of the valleys. These methods allowed to investigate the extent of the maximal spread of the Baltic glaciation of this area. Both methods however play a secondary roll. The analysis of the relief was carried out on the basis of topographical maps without taking into consideration the structure and spatial situation of the forms. (d'après l'A.).
