Processes of snowmelt and thaw patches formation in soil are considered in the paper in the framework of a common mathematical model. Routine observations are assumed to be utilized in the model. Practically the results obtained can be applied in agrohydrology since the final purpose of the calculation is revealing the conditions for arising the grinded ice crust and determining the moisture reserves in soil after completion of snow-melt. The above results are relevant to the calculation of the spring flood dynamics particularly to revealing the runoff losses due to infiltration in soil. An example of calculations is presented.
