Description :
On the basis of soil moisture measurements taken at selected catanae in the Young Pleistocene ground moraine region of Middle Mecklenburg investigations are made into excessive water in a 1mthick soil layer of concave forms. Excessive water levels are specified in relation with the manifestation of the hydromorphic contrasts of the soil forms within the catanae. The results serve for a more exact determination in medium-scale mapping of agricultural land units and are useful for projecting land improvement operations.
