Olistostromovye obrazovanija i problemy ofiolitov Araksinskoj zony. (Formations à olistostromes et problèmes des ophiolites dans la zone de l'Araks)

Description :
The present article is the first attempt to study olistostromic formations in the Araks zone, first discovered by the author in Ordubad synclinorium among flysch deposits of Middle Eocene. Their sections, typical features and their origin from the position of platforms tectonics are given. On the basis of new data it is suggested that it's necessary to distinguish the buried Nakhichevan ophiolitic zone for a distance of 105km in palaeotectonic reconstructions of Lesser Caucasus.
