De dynamiek in een regionaal-industriële structuur. Gelderland 1955-1976. (Changes in the structure of manufacturing industry: the case of the Dutch province of Gelderland 1955-1976)

Auteur :
GRIT, S.

Description :
Changes in manufacturing employment seem to be caused largely by the growth or decline of existing firms: this survey however is largely restricted to births, death and migrations of firms. Analysis of these changes suggests that there is some kind of relationship to national economic fluctuations and also to industrial structure. It appeared to be impossible however to test the life-cycle-theory in the case of Gelderland but there is an indication that deaths are more frequent in stagnating or declining industries. As a result the industrial structure of this province as a whole has become more diversified. (AGD).
