Description :
Optimum organization of the environment is a extremly complex group of tasks to be dealt with by architects and town planners. It was necessary to take into account the opinions and ideas of the resident in the process of laying out an adequate recreation area within easy reach. Such ideas were collected through oral interviews with 500residents of Halle-Neustadt using a standard questionnaire. They were taken into account in working out planning and design documents. Selected results are set forth.
