This study forms a part of a more general study on housing and employment of the Oostrand (five municipalities in Central Netherland). A residential location model was considered an important tool in the evaluation of policy decision making in the sense that mathematical models could be used for conditional forecasting. The conclusions in this study are based on a testing in the Amersfoort Region (i.c. the Oostrand) and the city of Leeds (England) (AGD).
