The Maarsseveen region lies north of the city of Utrecht. A re-allotment project was integrated with plans for the winning of sand, for the establishment of a national park besides a centre for horticulture and recreation. The purpose of this study is to evaluate this multipurpose project against the background of the fast changes of societal preferences in the sixties. (AGD).
