Quelques recherches sur la méthode Potassium-Argon

The radioactive disintegration of K supplies a method of datation for Potassium-bearing minerals and rocks, by measuring one daughter product, the A. An improved Argon measuring method is used, more accurate than the conventional one with spiking, and systematic error free. Other mechanisms of systematic errors are examined, coming from either the treatment of the mineral samples, or the samples themselves. Rocks and minerals are then reviewed for the datability in the Quaternary range. Our present overall accuracy for zero age compact basalts in about 20000years.
