La place des transports dans la vie d'une grande entreprise: l'exemple de l'usine de Fives-Lille

This study shows the importance of transports in a heavy mechanical engineering plant: the Fives-Cail Babcock Inc. plant in Lille. Our analysis of the dispatching of products allowed us to spot the patrons of the plant in 1977 and to put into relief its international vocation since most of its production is exported. For economical and technical reasons as well especially for particulary tricky transports the road is the essential means of conveyance for the Fives-Lille plant.
