Description :
The use of an electro-optical distance meter (Geodimeter AGA Model 76) in several kinds of geomorphological process studies is reported. The instrument is based on the use of a Laser beam with which it is possible to measure the distances with great accurary. The electro-optical distance meter has been recommended for use in triangulation for aerial photomapping, locating the sampling points on frozen lakes and sea, following coastal processes and measuring the rate of movement of glaciers. Final results of the studies will only be available following several years of repeated measurements.
