The analysis of the principal table gives for 37 socio-professional categories the estimated total consumption of French households belonging to each category, according to 126 budgetary classes: sugar, potatoes, clothes, for instance. A methodological innovation is the introduction of logical variables (0,1) as supplementary elements to a contingency table.
