Direct foreign investment some spatial implications for the source conomy in Foreign investment in industrialized countries.

Auteur :
OWENS, P. R.

Description :
The actions of firms in investing abroad can involve investment loss to the economy in which the investing firm is based. British investment in the Republic of Ireland is employed as an illustration, and the evidence suggests that most of these spatial changes operate to Britain's disadvantage. This conclusion is interpreted in the context of the continuing internationalization of industry.
