Radiocarbon dates spannning the Lateglacial-Flandrian transition are presented from seven sites in the Rannoch Moor area of the Grampian Highlands, Scotland. Problems associated with the interpretation of these dates are discussed, and possible implications for the dating of the close of the Lateglacial period in other areas are then considered.
