Description :
After some references to usual regression, and its limitations, a full description of regression under constraints is given, two examples of which are noted in the article of J. P. Benzécri in the same issue of the Cahiers. The main constraints are linear and quadratic inequalities imposed on the regression coefficients. Other article will follow, covering Bayesian criteria and methods based on data analysis.
