Description :
First results about distribution and changes of biomass (dry weight and total soluble proteins), physiology (amylase, trypsin) and faunistic composition of zooplankton are reported for the two months period following the spill of Amoco Cadiz on the Brittany Northern coast. A shortage of biomass in the aber area is attributed to hydrocarbons. The low level of the mean value of biomass on the Nord-Finistère coast, and the pecularities of estuarine station of the Lannion bay and of Trieux area are reported and discussed.
