La prévision des niveaux piézométriques. Trois remarques sur une longue série d'observations

According to 60years long piezometric data, in the chalky aquifer of northern France, one can shows that extreme events are not recent facts in spite of the drought of 1976. Statistical distribution of levels for each month is used to draw a simple network on which it is possible to compare one year with the others. For predicting stochastically piezometric levels, piezometric differences between a given month to its following have been studied. It appears that variations are erratic during winter and spring and that in other periods (except in august), the possibility of rising levels cannot be neglected.
