An experimental approach for the migration decision process
Auteur :LIEBER, S. R.
Description :
Most migration modeling efforts have depended upon large-scale spatial flow patterns although the derivation of realistic and empirically verified postulates of spatial behavior is believed to be dependent upon the development and testing of models of individual decision making and choice. For one specific sample of migrants, an experimental strategy was used to model the individual decision maker's evaluation and choice process so that differences in migration preferences and behavior could be compared.
