Measures of demographic potential applied to the definition of income regions in metropolitan Sydney

A macroscopic approach to the analysis of differentials in the levels of social and economic integration in a metropolitan area is proposed as a complement to the current body of urban geographic research. With a model of income-energy as a conceptual basis, two methods for defining regions of normal, minimal and supra integration into the metropolitan Sydney system are employed.
