Starting from the histogram of a random variable Y, the law of Y being of the form y (x) = g (x) k (x, x) dx, with k (x x) known, the function g (x) is estimated by simultaneous use of regression by correspondence analysis and by regression with constraints. The procedure is applied to an example in physics and starting from simulated data, method testing is achieved.
