Central to this study is the question of interrelations between manufacturing establishments in the eastern part of Gelderland and further how far the spatial pattern of these establishments is explained by the pattern of interrelations between them. The authors conclude that the location of the establishments scarcely can be explained by the pattern of interrelations. More important locational factors are to be find in the attitudes of the labour force and in social-psychological attachment to the region. (AGD).
