An analyse of the relation of settlements to different altitudinal degrees. The above sea level altitudes are considered as one of the fundamental elements of relief because certain altitudinal zones are distinguished by specific relief and landscape forming processes. 73% of the Middle-Slovakian county settlements are distributed in 7altitudinal degrees, the maximum (17%) pertains to the degree of 351-400m. (MS).
