Nedknusing av bergartsfragmenter og mineralkorn ved bretransport Crushing of rock fragments and mineral grains by glacial transport

Auteur :
HALDORSEN S.,

Description :
The crushing of mineral material and the formation of resistant mineral modes during the glacial transport are mainly dependant on the primary properties of the mineral material, inherited from the parent rock. This is illustrated by the distribution of mineral grains from sedimentary rocks and crystalline rocks in the tills of Southern Ringsaker, Southeastern Norway. The bimodal distribution of each lithological till component can commonly not be observed on the grain-size distribution curves of the total till material<16mm, because the till consists of several lithological components, each obtaining its particular modes within different till grades.
