L'altération des minéraux primaires en milieu podzolique en France atlantique et au Québec

Description :
The podzolic soils which were studied in Quebec formed on sandy granitic basal till (soils derived from saprolites are absent) whereas in France the soils of the podzolic sequence developed from saprolites which were more or less reworked by periglacial action. Eluviation phenomena are very intense in Quebec podzols, but it is only weak to moderate in the soils of podzolic sequence of France. Hence, although the weathering of primary minerals under podzolisation is identical in Quebec and in France, differences in parent material and the different rate of eluviation will make the similarity less evident.
