The agrarian reform in Iran has substituted a cooperative system for the centuries old feudal regime. The authors have gathered and analysed replies from 240 rural heads of family given to questions concerning past relationships between land owners and peasants, their attitude after the reform and their participation in new institutions. By means of a large number of tables and graphs, this article shows the results of a factorial analysis and a hierarchical classification.
