Description :
The correspondence factor analysis has been applied to two volcanic series used as examples: Hawaii and North of Madagascar. Every rock, determined by all available geochemical data in a multidimensional space, is projected in two dimensional diagrams defined by axes of maximum variation. The simultaneous projection on the same plane of the whole variables points and observations-points permits to analyse the associations and oppositions, to identify the most significative variables and consequently to choose the most interesting indications for establishing simple two-dimensional diagrams| accessorily to verify the used terminology. So, for every series a two dimensional diagram is proposed allowing to follow the magmatic evolution during the differentiation. Finally, the evolution of series of the North of Madagascar is also presented in the space defined by three principal axes.
