The problem of spatial inequality in the Caribbean may be analysed in the context of the plantation society. The specific form of the traditional colonial structure has not only induced an inheritance of plurality of population groups, but also makes apparent in a new form through the actions of large multinationals in enclave-economies. For Guyana, in particular for Georgetown, these socio-cultural dynamics have been more closely scrutinized. (AGD).
