In many aspects Dutch society shows characteristics of a post-industrial society. The transformation from industrial economy to a service economy is analysed here for one of the parts of urbanised Holland i.e. a part of the so called north-wing of the Randstad with its center Amersfoort. Much of the enquete-based material concerned locational patterns, spatial relations and mobility of offices and social-medical services. It is already therefore that this study is interesting because there is a lack of official statistics in this field. (AGD).
