Morphometric features of drumlins in Western Pomerania

Auteur :
KARCZEWSKI A.,

Description :
In connection with the large number and regular shape of drumlins within particular fields, many students have used morphometric and geometric methods in order to find similarities in the features and in the spatial distribution of forms. On the basis of the measurements of six morphometric parameters of drumlins in Western Pomerania, regions were defined having concentrations of the forms having similar features within one field, from the analysis of the frequency of occurrence. Besides, from multiple regression analysis it was possible to define such independent variables as individual features of drumlins. The morphometric analysis used was treated as an initial stage for further field investigations in order to explain the morphogenesis of the discussed forms. (L'A.).
