Auteur :BOUGERE J.,
Description :
The drought which has been prevailing of several years in the Sudano-Sahelian region South of the Sahara has prompted the countries belonging to the African Interstate Committee for Hydraulic Studies to launch a further campaign to study the possibilities of artificial rainmaking. The article briefly explains the mecanism of precipitations which has been thoroughly studied and has furnished a starting point for the experiments that have been carried out in Upper Volta at the beginning and at the end of the rainy seasons (1974-1975), the results of which can be found here.
