The Geographical Institute of Slovak Academy of Sciences is aimed above all at the geoecological analyses of landscape structures, their potentials, stability and rational utilisations. The geoecological investigation has been involved in the Tatra Mountains for the last 15 years. The Tatra National Park Management is engaged in the problem of natural systems protection in the present-day conditions of very high development of tourism. The study is completed by the typological map of landscape structure. - (MS)
