The determination of compressibility requires multifunctional methods in order to deal adequately with the complex connections between what growing plants require from the soil and its physical characteristics as affected by the loads which it has to support. Therefore the A. studies the effect of internal parameters of the soil and the effect of external forces (kind of loading, time dependence and number of compaction events).
