La cartographie radon des eaux naturelles appliquée à la détermination de zones à risques domestiques de pollution par le radon (cas de la région de Monceau en Ardenne, Belgique)

A mapping of radon concentration in spring waters has been carried out by our laboratory in 1985-1987 with the principal aim the exploration of uranium concentrations. The area surveyed concerns the anticlinal zone of the paleozoic Ardenne massif. After a presentation of the techniques developed by our laboratory for radon analysis in waters (springs, boreholes...), some examples of mapping are discussed. They concern the possibilities of radon migration in fractured zones and its accumulation in soils and ground water. Finally, the importance of studying the geological environment incidence on indoor is presented.
