The Gulf of Venezuela sea boundary : a problem between friends

Auteur :
ANDERSON, T. D.

Description :
Diplomatic settlement of the maritime boundary between Venezuela and Colombia has been hampered by two different perspectives on the dispute. Venezuela bases its claims over gulf waters in part on its possession of the islands ( Los Monjes ) at the gulf entrance. Colombia demarcates the ocean division on its control over most of the Guajira Peninsula. - (DWG)
