Homoclinal ridges in Lower Saxony in Landforms and landform evolution in West Germany.

Description :
Recent investigations of structure-controlled landforms such as homoclinal ridges agree that, in general, these landforms are transitional stages within a landform development sequence that includes valley deepening, valley widening, pediment formation, pediment widening and (pedi-)- planation. Such a sequence is tectonically induced but develops under stable conditions. Climate may influence the rate of development.
