This book presents a tourism concept which bases on both, an empirical analysis of either summer and winter tourism in Austria and a theory defining the respective style of tourism as a result of the touristic structure of the area studied. The empirical part bases on statistics and on the lift model which measures the attractiveness of an area for winter sports. The result is a concept for developmental tourism activities. The management of the country, the area, and of the tourism communities themselves sell element keys from which selected offers can be combined which as an additive make possible the introduction of new touristic styles. - (EG)
