Description :
The unsaturated-saturated waterflow processes in the upper zone of the soil are considered to play an important role in the mechanisms of surface runoff and soil erosion, but there is still a lack of theoretical and experimental understanding. In order to evaluate the hydrological processes and the soil erosion mechanisms in short time interval, a field study was started on surface and subsurface waterflow processes on a sloping field (16 %) under conventional tillage. Describes briefly the experimental set-up and the methodology used for monitoring the surface and subsurface runoff processes on an experimental field in the Belgian loamy region. - (Authors).
