Description :
Haloxylon and kandym autecologic investigations carried out in the South-Western Kyzylkum (to develop theoretical basis of selection and seed production) revealed the following adaptations in flower structure and functioning that provide 3 types of pollination : xenogamy, geitonogamy, autogamy. They are realized entomophilously and anemophilously. Lability of these types and methods of pollination is considered as adaptation to extremum conditions of life. - (L'A.).
