Boundary phenomena occurring between conjugating objects of any dimension level are characterized by notions ecotone and boundary . Multiaspect ecotone classification is worked out. The following groups are defined : intersite, inter-land-system, interregion, interzone - according to dimension| sharp, diffusive, limbate, mosaic - according to structure| static, vacillating, transit - according to dynamics| halo-, hydro-, edapho-, litho-, tecto-, geomorpho-, climatogenic (abiogenic), phyto-, anthropo-, zoogenic, pastoral (biogenic) - according to genesis| dividing, uniting, buffer, succession, joining, stabilizing and refugium - according to their function. - (L'Ed.).
