Young ecotone ecosystems differ from the original ones by their dynamicity, heterogeneity of successions and banded structure. The main factors of ecotones change on the site level of natural systems organization are humidity and salinity of soils. For ecotones of land-system level they are : edapholithologic, geomorphologic and hydrogeologic peculiarities of the region, its economic development, intensity and character of initial vegetation. It is advisable to create a classification of young ecotone systems, taking into account intensity and direction of the ecotonization process of biogeocoenotic cover. - (L'Ed.).
