Desert ranges undergo marked changes under the grazing. A number of serial communities with dominating ruderal species have been identified which determine the type of fouling under rangeland modifications and often bring about irreversible changes into productive vegetation. The conclusion is drawn that ecological limits of shrub domination widen under the grazing and broken sands and new dominating wed weeds appear at different stages of range degradation. - (L'Ed.).
