Description :
The work of the Laboratory for Aero and Cosmic Methods, the Desert Institute the Turkmen Academy of Sciences is discussed. Cosmic imagery of Meteor , Salut , Soyuz was used for interpretation of desert soil cover. Interpretation characteristics for different types of soils as well as some prospects for further utilization of cosmic imagery for soil mapping are also presented.
